Senior Masters Awards from Topeka to Auburn race

 

Jan 21 - Lawrence Runners Results for the Topeka to Auburn Half Marathon.

The 24th edition of this spring classic - the opener for the running season - saw a record crowd of about 295. Partly cloudy, about 35 degrees and a mild wind from the south got mixed reveiws. Wrong wind direction, but it wasn't 12 degrees. Lawrence runners were out in numbers and many came away with awards. The Sunflower Striders hosted another grand event.

Dave Halferty (Topeka) was the top male finisher in 1:14:28 while Wanda Toto Scheib (Lenexa) was the top female winner in 1:31:30.
