4.  Thanksgiving Day Run:  Dee updated the members.   She said all but one of the sponsors have sent their donations.  Gene will feature each sponsor on the website. Dee attended the last Woodlawn PTO meeting.  She said the school community is excited about the event, organized and ready for participation.  Since serving as the run site, several Woodlawn patrons and staff have become regular runners.  The gym classes will hand out flyers to neighbors notifying them of the run.  The t-shirt producer will use an art student’s design as part of the volunteer shirt logo.
Heather is making some new signs for the day of the run.
Don has ordered 600 cookies and will pick those up along with the Hy-Vee water donation.  Barry plans to pick up food supplies as well.
Marsha Odgers delivered the over-all awards for club members to view.  Members present were delighted with her design and rendering.
More volunteers are needed for the day of run--Dee distributed the jobs list to members present at the meeting.
The management of the new natural food store on 23rd Street has agreed to donate water.
Packet pick-up will be at Francis Sporting Goods Store on Mass from 11:30 am until 6:00 pm Nov. 23.  Set-up at Woodlawn will be from 6:30-8:30 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 23.  Dee would like the volunteers to report Thursday morning, Nov. 24 at 6:00 am.
Becky has coordinated all of the details for the aid station.  Gene will set up and mark the course.  Charlie Upton will be our announcer.
After Dee gets an estimate of results availability from Raul, Janet will make a sign reflecting the time awards can be picked up by the winners.  In general, Dee felt as though all the details have been covered.

5.  Runner friendly community:  Becky displayed the plaque from RRCA.  She will check with the mayor’s office and schedule a time to present it to the City of Lawrence.  Members expressed a willingness to attend a City Commission meeting if the presentation should take place there.  In addition, RRCA provided about 50 decals that Dee will distribute to businesses and individuals that supported the application process.
