Dee and Gene gave an update on the upcoming Thanksgiving Day 5K.  Gene reported that at this time we have 260 participants registered. We still need bottled water donations and paper cups as well.  Gene will double check that the barricades around the course will be provided as they were in previous years. The participant gifts, the compression sleeves, should be in sometime in the next week. Dee also picked up the art work from Woodlawn for the volunteer shirts and will be taking the art work to Happy Shirts to get printed.  Gene is going to reserve the conference room at LMH for packet assembly on Sunday, November, 23rd starting at 1pm. We are need 15-20 boxes for the assembled participant packets, preferably paper ream boxes.  Any members who would like to help with packet assembly are to contact Gene at runlawrence.org or email Dee at boeckdee@gmail.com.  Packet pick up will be starting on Wednesday, November 26th at Francis Sporting Goods from 11:30 am - 6:30 pm.  Also on Wednesday, the Woodlawn Elementary School gymnasium is reserved starting at 6 pm for set-up and donation drop-off.  On race morning, the school opens at 5:45 am to continue with race day preparations.  There are still many volunteer positions/duties available so please contact either Gene or Dee for more details.

Dan reported that the Middle School Running Program has ended and he was very pleased with the caliber of athletes that he had to work with.  He had 24 total participants and 14 of them were returners from last year.  Dan had great volunteer assistants, Kyle and Maresa, who did the majority of the workout with the participants.  Dan is going to meet with Kyle and Maresa to discuss the plans for the spring program. Overall it was a very successful season.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 pm with motion by Dee and seconded by Becky.
