Congratulations to Dee Boeck for setting the new state record in the 4 mile for F70-74 runners. The new time of 33:41 was set at the Mulvane Old Settlers Day Run. Sheryl Drevo (Goddard) set the new F75 4 mile state record. Dee broke Sheryl's record set five years ago. results

Former Olympian Jeff Galloway was in town this morning to lead a workout at the Billy Mills Middle School track. A good turnout for an intro into Galloway's run/walk method of training and running. J. Jenkins of Ad Astra Running is the local guru of the Galloway method.

At the annual club social, this year's outstanding club member award went to Molly Wood (left, with Dee Boeck). Molly was recognized for her many years of help with the registration process at the annual Thanksgiving Day Run and her long-time support since the inception of the club.

Registration is now open for the 16th Annual runLawrence Thanksgiving Day 5K and Fun Run.
Plan to get together with family and friends to start off your turkey day with a run through north Lawrence. Proceeds benefit the many youth running programs in Douglas County.
This year's giveaway is a Buff multifunctional headgear which can be worn more than 12 different ways, from a cap to a balaclava to a hair tie, for a personalized style and perfect fit. Good for the winter months but also effective on hot days with a UPF50 rating for sun protection.
