Déjà vu - Lawrence's Bucky Cox was a Cordley School student who gained national prominence in the late 1970s by running marathons and setting age-group records for the grueling 26-mile-plus event. Cox quit running in 1983 at the age of 11 after passing the 12,000-mile plateau.

RunLawrence helped with the finish line at this year's Pat Grzenda Triathlon, May 4th. The annual event brings together secondary adaptive PE students in the USD497 district for one big event.

Ashley Turpin of Lawrence, KS, won the women's race at the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon in Wichita this morning with a time of 1:26:39.
