Lori and Don Cackler were recognized as the 2024 Outstanding Members at the annual runLawrence potluck social at the Union Depot.
Don and Lori have been active club members since the beginning. Their contributions have been most apparent with the Thanksgiving Day 5K.
From the beginning, Don has been a reliable worker helping with everything from the heavy lifting of road barriers and tables and water coolers to the more delicate work of safely transporting hundreds of turkey shaped cookies to the school each year. Don has also been an invaluable member of the safety team on race day
Lori is an equally reliable team member who for years helped organize food service for the run and has done everything from course marshaling to merchandise sales. If she says she is going to be somewhere and do something you can be sure that will happen. As a former teacher, Lori is a good listener and often has some creative ideas to offer.
