Meeting Minutes, Dec 7, 2008

4:00 p.m. - Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Conference Room

Members Present:  Ellen Young, John Huchingson, Gene Wee, Becky McClure, Steve Riley, Dee Boeck, Karen Hyde.

Treasurer's report: $10,317.60 in the club account.

Thanksgiving Day 5K report. Dee reported in the comments and suggestions submitted by various people. The event was a big success and all volunteers are to be thanked and congratulated.

Gene reported the club made $4,753 on this year's event due to the good weather and the new record of participants (677).

Ellen said the Jingle Bell Run is Thur, Dec 18 at 6:30 pm. It's a fun, festive run from the back side of Kizer Cummings. People can dress up and it's fee. Refreshments will be provided at Kizer Cummings and at Garry Gribble's Running Sport (also 20% off for Red Dog participants). Event ends at the Eldridge Hotel with Kim Murphree leading carols.

Dam Run is Sat, Mar 28, 2009. A copy of the new entry form was presented.

It was noted that membership dues are due at the end of  the year and memberships can be renewed online without paying the Active.com surcharge.

Dee will submit the RRCA club renewal forms this month.

Karen Hyde won the shirt door prize.
