Randy Hall's route

Dec 7 - Randy Hall recorded his route with Route Gadget. You can see the animated route - choose class/course: "KU Sprint (1)", then click on "Randy 28:52", then view animation. Use your mouse to move the map.

Dec 4 - Mike Eglinski has a nice YouTube video of Sat's event (go to the Dec 4th posting).

Dec 2 - The sun came out, the temperature was in the mid 30s. Facilities Operations did a great job of clearing the ice on the streets and main sidewalks, but there were spots of sheets of ice on grassy areas and shaded pavements.

The Manitobans drove down to the weekend's meet and Darius Konotopetz posted the best time. Tom Carr won the men's 40+ catergory with a time that would have been good for 2nd in the under 40 category. MNOC's Julia Bohnen took the top spot among the women.

Our thanks to Mary Jones for setting the course and to all the volunteers for helping out.

Nov 30 - The snows did not accumulate in Lawrence like other surrounding areas so don't expect to trudge through any deep stuff. How many sprint O's are done in the winter? Warning: use caution when approaching any steps or concrete stairs. I would think the majority of the ice will have been treated or scraped off by Sat. afternoon.

Nov 29 - The weather will be nasty today, icy roads, then maybe some snow, but by the weekend be cold and dry. Lawrence will have its annual old fashion Christmas parade downtown so allow time to drive around that area. Check-in early if you can at the Kansas Union. And thanks to everyone for calling in their entries.
